Adoptable Animals of the Week: Bongo & Melody

Good morning and AVAST, Wagglers! Today’s adoptable animals could not be more dissimilar: petite, poised Bongo and sturdy, spirited Melody.

Bongo from the SF SPCA

Bongo from the SF SPCA

Bongo is a 2-year-old Terrier mix hailing from San Francisco’s SPCA. His black and white coat makes him easy to spot, but it’s his tan eyebrows and hooked tail that make Bongo unique.

To say Bongo is treat-motivated is an understatement. Thanks to a lot of treats (and patience) at the SPCA, once shy guy Bongo has blossomed into a social butterfly. However, when he socializes it is mainly to ask others if they have a treat for him. We consider that a desirable quality here at Waggle.

Melody from SF ACC

Up next is Melody from San Francisco’s Animal Care & Control. You may recognize this brindled beauty from an earlier adoption spotlight. But Melody is receiving star treatment once again because she is the longest-standing resident at ACC.

As a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix, Melody is full of vibrant energy and affection. Her signature feature is her lopsided ears: one’s always perked up, the other always flopped down, giving her a permanent inquisitive look. What does she inquire about? Mostly how she can get more treats and how she can smother others with affection.

Melody also loves being an oversized lap dog. You say she’s too big? She says your lap’s too small.
